Such an iconic place in San Diego with the coastal views and known for Mai Taiโ€™s. Great for locals and tourists. Plenty of parking. The dining room is upstairs. Their mai taiโ€™s are so strong, that Itโ€™s advertised as โ€œno juice addedโ€ and a limit of 2 per person. Happy hour is from 3-5pm. We got a series of apps to share. Our server did a great job of allowing each of us to open our own tab. Their drinks were mostly with rum so I went with Saturn which had gin. Very refreshing with lemon juice and passion fruit. Anywhere you sit has a nice view. The windows were squeaky clean, spotless that it looks like you could fall off the second floor!

Consistently Amazing Experience at Bali Hai! We visited Bali Hai Restaurant for the third time for dinnerโ€”first for my birthday, second for my husbandโ€™s birthday, and this time I brought my sister who came from Thailand. The food was amazing, and we absolutely love the Mai Tai; itโ€™s truly unique! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the views at night were incredibleโ€”absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend this place for a wonderful dining experience!

Very unique and chill place on the Shelter Island. Food is outstanding, accompanied by amazing drinks. Tuna poke is one of the best I have ever had. Tuna was fresh and complemented perfectly by avocado-jalapeno cream cheese, caviar and wonton chips. Tasted even better with one of their craft cocktails - Kopiana Pog. Lots of locals who frequent this San Diego gem. Amazing views of the bay and yachts from the second floor!

Great restaurant, great views! We had a gorgeous view of the water and were able to watch the sailboats while we enjoyed good food. BOAT OWNERS: We were able to dock our boat by calling about 45 minutes ahead. If your boat is 26โ€™ or less tie up on the inside of the dock. It lets the bigger vessels use the longer dock space on the outside. Plus, the outside will expose your boat to some pretty big waves coming off the wakes of bigger yachts, so leave a bit of give in your ropes for that bouncing and make sure your buoys are big enough. Food was good. We got the fish and chips, shrimp tacos, a burger and a salad. The food is good, not life changing by any means but definitely good. If youโ€™ve had really good fish and chips you might not be super impressed with the actual fish, but the fries were good. The atmosphere was unbeatable and frankly I would have eaten rocks for that view. Overall, fantastic experience and I would recommend!

What a fun space! Th concept behind their stronger Mai Tai is so fun and of course we ordered one! The other cocktails were very good and still fun! The atmosphere is great, service was good, most of the food was excellent, the salmon dish is a 12/10 VERY good! The chicken was dry and the whole dish kinda flavourless, but the spiced fries on the appy menu too were very good! Overall a fun and nice night out!
